A few words about

What We Do

Our goal is

To ensure that women are empowered and their rights respected enabling them participate fully in the decision-making processes at all levels.

We work towards ensuring a life free from inequality and discrimination for every woman.

Gender base violence and trafficking

Gender based violence is one of West Point Women’s signature programs. We work to: prevent cases of gender-based violence; identify, protect and provide care—including room and board—for survivors; pursue the prosecution of perpetrators; and provide psychosocial support and counselling. In addition, we conduct events, outreach, media advocacy and lectures on GBV in the classroom to educate women on their rights and the effects and dangers of GBV, while creating awareness on GBV and Female Genital Mutilation in the community as serious issues that affect women and girls. WPWHDO has also been involved in Advocacy that unveiled issues around FGM and trafficking through monitoring and reporting.

education programs

WPWHDO provides literacy education to grassroot women and girls to improve their status and to help them take control of their own finances to reduce GBV. WPWHDO also provides scholarships and learning materials for adult women, adolescent girls and children.

Reproductive Health/Adolescent Girls and Child Welfare:
